I wonder if the creationists/religionists would allow the same type of questioning for the reality of their religious belief contents that they seem to demand for evolution. Personally, I think such a drive would scare the holy, inerrant shit out of them. However, it is said "that what's good for the goose is good for the gander."

This is the most effective course I think for fighting this sort of mounting ignorance especially in the southern US. If their position is to critique science in the form of climate change and evolution, then they leave themselves wide open to be criticized for the opposing view to critique the view they will no doubt be espousing in its place.

Ignorance, prejudice and fear walk hand in hand; you seldom see one without the others. And that's what's being put on display here, in plain sight for all the world to see. Fear of what can't be controlled, prejudice against those who wish to teach an opposing view and ignorance of why their view is so out of touch with reality.

An indictment of religion in general honestly. If ever there were places in need of a secular movement...
