This will likely be a long drawn out battle unless a victim of ritual genital mutilation decides, on or about reaching the age of majority, to sue those responsible. Reality means that some youth must sue his parents for an assault that happened many years previously, the said parents almost certainly believing what they were doing being in the best interest of the son.
I am not ignoring FGM. I do believe getting rid of ritual male circumcision will make it easier to eventually eliminate FGM.
