So what is YA's point, if any?

That Richard Dawkins didn't behave well in that situation? From what I've read, his account seems perfectly reasonable to me. It seems the girl got upset because the facts about evolutionary biology presumably got in the way of her faith. Why else would someone get upset about science?

So if YA has a proper criticism of evolution, bring it on. And BTW there is no controversy about evolution among scientists, only disagreements about details. Only the religios object to evolution, like the 15 year old.

Now I wonder why that is? Does it present a different view of reality from a certain old collection of stories? Yes indeed it does! And a view backed up by stacks of evidence going back nearly 200 years.

So go YA, have a go at evolution, not Richard!
