I live in Manila and I have to admit I was fuming when, after all that trouble, I get a text about Genesis 8:7-12 (which didn't even refer to the forty-days-forty-nights rain). Whoever first texted or tweeted that (whichever came first) obviously doesn't know his Bible much. And if God really was on a punishing spree, why didn't he even manage to completely wreck the roof over this sinful woman's head? And why do those poor kids have to sleep in a crowded shelter tonight instead of those politicians who want to control our population growth, which is what made God mad in the first place?
