When young and religious I went on a car trip with the intention of reading the bible (funny as a catholic it seemed that the Catechism was all that was needed for ones literature) and especially the old testament.
Well after trying the book of Daniel and one other I could only comment that it sounded like the ravings of someone on mescaline.
That is what I thought of and said about those prophets even though I did believe in god and being religious.
