I'm afraid I must disagree with this. If you don't feel the need to convince anyone that their views are wrong, you appear to be in the minority. Religion comes at us (here in the US) from every direction: in politics, law, and morality. It trumpets its stupid horn, trying to drag the world back into the dark ages. Most of those who frequent this site are fed up with the crap and want to get religion not only out of government, but out of society as a whole. It does a lot of damage, both overt and indirect.
So I would say to the religious who ask me to stop trying to convert people: you first.
