Are Priests Employees of The Vatican?
I ask this question in light of the case in America against the vatican that has been dropped because of the difficulty of proving this point. It has been said that proving that the vatican is the employer is very difficult but, if that is the case, then how does the vatican have the right to decide whether or not to accept the resignation of a bishop, undermining the authority of an archbishop.
