"paradolia, leading the faithful astray since before god"

"it's not your god, it's evolution"

How about: a silhouette cradling a puppy with the words, It's ok to talk to me about atheism.

Good luck,

Mike

P.S. alaskansee, near to Southeast?

How about,

'Religion is Incredible'

Which we can all agree is true.

Wasn't there a 'best heresy slogans' competition about a year ago?

Well - north west of the world - or south south east of you. I loved the forest on one of your last posts and googled Mount Whats-its-face. Try my local woods - http://www.pc.gc.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/index.aspx - no creepy crawlies, animal or vegetable

PS you should be able to see us as well as Russia.

Christianity: Noun. The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree....

Being offended is a choice. In this case, the only real reason they feel offended in the first place is because such things demonstrate what weak grasp of the truth they have. Being "offensive" (I prefer the term "irreverent") is much more fun. If they feel offended, well, then they just need to get over themselves.

You're never going to be able to come up with a t-shirt about being atheist that doesn't put someone in a tizzy.

One of my favourite t-shirts from my past is my old Cradle of Filth tee. Which had, on the back, the nice phrase, in huge letters:

JESUS IS A CUNT.

Strangely, nobody ever pulled me up for wearing it. I don't think that quite fits your remit though.

How about a picture of somebody praying, perhaps with rosary, and the slogan: Hopelessly saved?

I don't think that Richard's I believe Science shirts are very offensive. I sometimes toy with the idea of putting offensive verses on T-Shirts to see how believers react.

As we're -sort of, anyway,- on the subject of offence on this thread, how about a quote from Stephen Fry:

'It's now very common to hear people say, "I'm rather offended by that", as if that gives them certain rights. It's no more than a whine. It has no meaning, it has no purpose, it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. "I'm offended by that." Well, so fucking what?'

A bit long for a t-shirt but guaranteed to get some people reading...

...and, I'd like to hope, thinking.

Brilliant, thank you.

It's no longer than my most cherished piece of apparel, at least I know when someone is reading it, they normally ask me to stand up straight before leaning forward and make that squinting face. Always good for getting the conversation started.

Paully from Australia's Avatar Comment 25 by Paully from Australia

I had a t-shirt from New Zealand that wasn't even purchased as an atheist t-shirt

It was a Speight's beer t-shirt that was supposed to be about how tough the men are from the south island

On the back it just said "In Dog we trust"

Didn't give it a thought until someone was ofended & came up to me to give me their reasons why I'd be going to hell

Basically, I'm not sure you can have anything guaranteed to not offend everyone

"A Theist?" on front...

"Atheist!" on back...

Translation: You were coming as a theist and leaving as an atheist.

From my observations here in the south, the Christians will be confused by it, and the fence sitters will likely pick up on it.

..profit...

Maybe you can use this, from idea I had for a bumper sticker: "Thank God I'm and atheist!" this one just came to mind "I can't help it if God made me an atheist" You get that whole paradoxical word mumbo jumbo that gives you time to run away before they get their crosses nailed together
