Playing the Nazi card?

During the time when this site was out of action for technical reasons that seem to have originated with Amazon and spread widely through the Internet, there was a heated discussion on Jerry Coyne's WEIT website. Under the heading, 'Another Tom Johnson: Did Dawkins call religious people "Nazis"?' Jerry quoted somebody called Nick Matzke, an accommodationist who went so far as to accuse me as follows:
Well, I have seen Richard Dawkins address large general audiences and quite deliberately, but ridiculously, play the Nazi card against religion. It’s an instance of Godwin’s Law, and it’s no better when Dawkins does it than when anyone else does it.
The discussion that ensued on the WEIT site is worth a look. Obviously I think Matzke was wrong, but judge for yourself if you have the time.
