US defence spending on evangelism

I'd heard that the US military was being taken over by evangelicals. I'd heard about the "spiritual fitness" test and taxpayers money funding the Rock the Fort event.

This still shocked me. For instance, the Strong Bonds program receives at least $30 million a year from the DoD, mostly to send personnel to evangelical retreats. Wall of separation between church and state?
