BBC rewrites history of science

I don't know how long this video will remain online - I have contacted the BBC to notify them of the error in it, so I would hope it will be corrected or removed quickly. But in the meantime, take a look at the video here and watch out for the absolutely staggering mistake starting at about the 27 second mark ...

I realise we all make mistakes ... but mistakes of this magnitude?
