In planning a secular service, I'm finding it hard to access resources that have truly practical information and I've already hit a few roadblocks, e.g., trying to find a marriage commissioner willing to do a ceremony with no mention of god or use of the bible.

Has anyone out there held a secular wedding and can share ideas, suggestions or cautions?

Any suggestions for readings, content?

Although I'm not so concerned with what some more religious members of the family will think, did anyone experience any resistance or post-ceremony griping?

My wedding is next June so there's plenty of time to get this organised, but I'd love to hear from the community about this.
