It is very very disappointing that 21st century people attribute a natural disaster to "God's wrath" over population control measures. Some even link it to a certain passage in Genesis. It's all over Facebook and Twitter, and I really appreciate those users who were quick to refute this madness. It is not only mad, it is also an insult to the innocent people, including children, who have loss their homes and livelihood.

In lieu of prayers, the people of Manila and neighboring cities would very much appreciate your interest in the ongoing relief operations. With regard to this, you may get in touch with the Philippine Red Cross as well as other agencies. Thank you very much.
