Before the main point a small correction:

You only get the Darwin Award if you remove yourself from it before breeding. The victim had two children, so any genetic component of stupidity will have been passed on.

More importantly:

If Chantale Lavigne deserved to die, then what of the other eight, who had the effrontery to survive? Surely, we have a duty to protect the gene pool by tracking down these survivors and putting them to the sword?

It would be more compassionate than hyperthermia and we could dismember the corpses, ship them North and feed them to the polar bears. This would help these noble ursines in their hour of need, now that anthropogenic global warming has so affected their ability to hunt penguins*.

Yes, a lot of good could come from this situation if only we had the gumption.

*I know polar bears don't hunt penguins. Don't get pedantic while I'm taking the piss out of callous pricks. Okay?

Petition signed.

Sorry my Muslim friends, but you get to speak freely and so do we. That's the deal.

Orthodox vs jihadists - now there's a war I'd like to see, and would happily sell weapons to both sides.

I'm sorry if anyone else has said this before, but:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana.

The Iran/Iraq situation worked out well, didn't it?

What these people really love is the sound of their own voices, that is why they have to have an opinion.

They can't pass over the event in silence or even make a brief statement of condolence.

They don't have that much style or decency.

I didn't know the man, but will remember him with respect and affection. I hope I can meet my end so well.
