Go to: Simply ... should I read the bible?

Go ahead and read the Bible if you want to fall asleep quickly. All those "he begat him, who begat her, who begat him, who begat her" you'll have to read every page twice.

My kids are constantly saying new words that I have never heard before. Here, in the South, it's even worse than the rest of the country. It's English of a "new form". The "black" slang, and the "white southerner" slang, and "both mixed" slang.

For example "My Bad!" first time I heard that, I'm thinking "WTF" is that mean? Then, "Po, Po," meaning Police. I'm that ghetto talk or what, but then I hear it used all over the place. Where have I been?

Sometimes when we go through the McDonalds drive-through, my son would use his thickest red neck slang and order his meal. My daughter and me would be laughing our butts off, especially when we come to the window and the guy sees us and stares.

"So" is not that much of a deal here in the South, but "YA'LL" is almost in every sentence.

Coming to Georgia from New York City, it took me a few years to get use to the slow pace speech and manner. I felt like it took three years for someone to finish their sentence, and I was still standing there like a zombie wondering when they'll be done.

And, I think it's pretty fair to put that in the placement ad so that the applicant knows what he/she is getting into. What kind of environment. It's the first thing I did when I went for a job interview, checked out the environment and decided if I could handle being there 8 hrs a day 5 days a week.

15K for that kind of position? OMG, things are worse than I thought. My son works for Taco Bell, he's 16 yrs old still in High School and makes 7.50 per hr.
