Um... Has anyone else noticed that all "everyday" atheist men have beards?

Surely not ?

Michael

Perhaps I could have been more clear. I was just observing that 8/10 of the men pictured had beards-- but that is all beside the point. Facial hair is irrelevant. I really do like this campaign; it is not at all intimidating, which is exactly the way this kind of thing should look. It doesn't try to change anyone, convince anyone, it simply serves as a reminder that we are out there, and we are decent people, just like you.

Um... Has anyone else noticed that all "everyday" atheist men have beards? I've got nothing against beards, but... it's getting stereotypical.

It is a nice campaign. I think a lot of americans need to be reminded that not everyone agrees with them on everything.

Professor, you have taught me not only to hate religion with a passion, but I feel the more important impact you have had on my life has been the more positive. Through your work, I have learned to passionately love science. In fact, I learned more about evolution from The God Delusion (the first of your books I read) than I had from years of "biology" classes. Throughout my life, I had never considered any person to be an inspiration to me. Well, rest assured that the first time i picked up The God Delusion, I saw myself reflected in its shiny cover. Here's to your great contribution to humanity's body of knowledge, and to centuries worth of knowledge built upon that.

In reason, and with love, Daniel.
