The red cross effectively did call it the Non red cross in Muslim countries where it is called The Red Crescent.
Just thought I'd mention that.(think it's called appeasing Islam)

Go to: Ayaan Hirsi Ali - The Caged Virgin

I have watched and listened to a considerable amount of debates and interviews with Ayaan.
Most people in the UK have no idea who she is. For that matter the vast majority have no knowledge of Chris Hitchens, Sam Harris or Daniel Dennet. Most people just don't want to know when it comes to criticizing religion.
Anyway she is one of my heroes.

As someone who has always cosidered himself to be on the left side of the political spectrum I share Pat's concerns about the liberal left.
So consumed they are with white guilt and anti Americanism that they use the flawed logic of my enemy's enemy is my friend. And hey presto you are marching down the road with a banner proclaiming "we are all hizbolla now." As was the case at the stop the war marches in London and elsewhere.
In my opinion people who choose to wear burkas in the West should ask themselves why progressive womans groups in the Muslim world campaign against it.
Finally, I would suggest people should be able to distinguish between multiracial and multicultural.
