And yes, of course we are computers. Or what else do you think the human brain gets up to? It is a calculating machine. There is nothing there but processing and storage etc.

We are not computers. Brains are organic, computers are inorganic. Try swapping your brain (hard-drive) into another person, see how far you get.

Please stop making this False Equivalence.

(A degree in biology, seriously?!?)

Computers can, and will be, organic.

Go to: Why Richard Dawkins is still an atheist

When Richard Dawkins says "“ I am agnostic only to the extent that I am agnostic about fairies at the bottom of the garden", is this similar to saying, for example, that one is only sure that the sun will come up tomorrow morning to the extent that, on a scale up to 7, one could rate it as 6.9? As in, I know the sun will come up tomorrow, but I can't know the sun will come up? I cannot prove it, but everything I (and mankind) knows tells me it will come up; technically it is only a theory, based on prior knowledge and observation, that it will.

Religiously-led democracy that is the uk? Doesn't sound like the uk I live in....

Comment 2 by Chris Roberts :

Ontario got it right, let's see how long it takes for the religiously-led democracy that is the UK to see this and follow suit. I'm not holding my breath though....

Go to: Islam doesn't like the gays much, does it?

EbeneezerGude's Avatar Jump to comment 97 by EbeneezerGude

Wouldn't call it a "practice", mate.... Your heterosexuality, homosexuality, eye colour, skin colour, etc is not a practice. It's who you are as a normal human being. You came in to the world that way.
