May God spare people of facing such fanatic Doctors who doesn't know where to draw the line between reality and fairy tales... :-)

I wonder if people of all religions are equally fanatic! Any thoughts...

If this is true, then perhaps dream of Eurabia is true.

While you lie in slumber still,

darkness engulfs you like a gentle smoke.

When its time for you to get up,

you'd be buried beneath 6 feet of dust.

Can't raise arms, can't be heard,

in the oblivion you just rest.

Do something guys...

Hi Eileen,
There is a great difference between Knowledge and Realization. We all know that we are all going to die one day, but when the moment of truth hits directly in the face, the realization strikes. Most of the comments that I read hear were written from the level of Knowledge. Well its my opinion and one may differ from my perception. Atheism is not a religion and one need not be fanatic about the principles. If something could not be proved does not mean it does not exist. I know many Atheists who believe in Intelligent Alien life forms. No evidence, still they believe. The Hindu religion talks about recycling of conciseness from one form to another form. Empirical evidence? There is none, but there have been many who have done some exploring in these areas - Brian Wess for one. I suggest you personally explore this area. It will be an exciting one.

As we know today that Fear of Unknown makes us believe in all pervading super power. Now that super power could be a soccer ball (as in movie Caste Away) or the mice (as in Douglas Adams novel).

And the latest that I am looking at eagerly is the Singularity and what Ray Kurzweil has to talk about it.

May be the good professor needs to be reminded that Atheism is not a religion. Atheism is a state of mental freedom from the "Life Guiding" fairy-tales.

Either he is an opportunist who is trying to make good of the fact that weak minds need a book to guide their life and morality or I feel sorry for the deluded professor.

P.S. : @RomeStu Nice dimension, no sitll not convinced.
