Since the article doesn't give a definition of God, it's hard to rate myself on the scale. Assuming that the definition of God is something like 'a non-material conscious being who created the universe", I would rate myself as a 6. I realize this is a pretty broad definition of God, I am leaving out the all-knowing, all-powerful, all-loving bits as "nice-to-haves", so any evil incompetent fool who somehow got the universe up and running would still qualify.

We do act like animals, to be more specific, we behave like the animal called homo sapiens. Just like crocodiles behave like crocodiles and elephants behave like elephants. Apparently, the assumption is that we should behave like some other species of animal. But why? We don't expect a tarantula to behave like a Thomson's gazelle, or a wombat to behave like a woodpecker. So why would anyone expect humans to behave like some other species?

Comment 12 by tyga "Try changing that to “If Allah exists, I hope he has a good excuse." and then see what happens"

The ad is in English. I don't see the point of translating one of the words into another language (in this case translating the English word 'God' into the Arabian word 'Allah').

Concerning the first two Woody Allen related comments, here's my favourite: "Not only is there no God, but try finding a plumber on Sunday"

Apparently I am not authorized to delete my own comment. So anyway, the oops is on me, only read the first few lines and didn't realize it was a satire. Lesson learnt ;)
