Some religous leaders are attacking secularisum as if to be a secularist is to be anti religous, the pope on his recent tour of the U.K stated that we must stand up to "aggressive secularisum". This demonisation of secularist is not a chance happening. People such as Maryam Namazie who runs "One law for all" and Terry Sanderson at the NSS who run many campaigns that have one common thread "equailty", also yourself, who know better than most what its like to be on the reciving end of this misrepresentation. So this boils down to a attack on "aggressive equailty seekers". We must remember that secularism not only protects the none believer from a religious majority it also protects a religious minority from a religious majority, as the Danbury Baptist Association sort when they wrote to Thomas Jefferson. With this in mind the question I would ask is "What can be done to alleviate this delibarate misrepresentation of secularisum?"

If parents were cutting off there childrens arms we wouldnt insist on the nhs doing it because they surgical skills arent up to scratch. The principal should be only an individual can decide wheather to hack at there own genitalia or not. It`s not for the parents to decide.

The practice of force circumsion should be illegal

If the carbon dating (done at three seperate labs in a double blind test ) had concluded that the shroud had probably started life shomewhere around the third decade of the first century, then rest assured the infallible one would let us know that carbon dating was never wrong.

As a teenager i remember being absolutly hooked on
watching Richard present tne royal institution
lectures. He made a complex subject easy and enjoyable for children and laymen. As a educator i
think richard has just the right balance between fact and sensitivity as Prof Tyson puts it.
