Go to: After Watching Citizens United Film, Perry Shifts To Oppose Abortion Even For Victims Of Rape Or Incest

It's heartening to know that the good governor has considered this most perennial of political issues in such detail that watching a dvd can alter his position. I would suggest that we send him Prof. Dawkins' royal society lectures on evolution. However, being aimed at children, I doubt of Perry would be able to cope with the material.

Re: The Telegraph. Recently, Alistair "I used to be an atheist" McGrath wrote an article in the Telegraph claiming that scientists' "faith" in the Higgs boson was analogous to believers' faith in gawd. Constructing arguments that collapse under the weight of their own stupidity may be McGrath's forte, nonetheless I was also surprised by the atheistic bent of the comments and was heartened that McGrath's pathetic argument was thoroughly dismantled.

Low hanging fruit indeed! It's an embarrassment that Prof. Dawkins has to continually school the man that is our prime minister. Cameron's speech on religion, as well as his response to issue of faith schools, betrayed what a thoughtless, shallow and utterly contemptible individual our leader is. Now that he wants us to adopt xtian values, I await the legislative programme which legalizes the subjugation of women, bigitory against homosexuals and the right to own slaves. According to Dave, our society will only be mended after we return to the xtianity of our past. In reality, the danger to our society comes from the policies of this Tory government.

“Take the risk of thinking for yourself, much more happiness, truth, beauty, and wisdom will come to you that way.” While in person he will missed, his words will live to influence those brave enough to listen.

Go to: America cannot afford to lose its grip on science

I like Randell; she's eloquent and usually explains science effectively. But she's one in a long line of atheist physicists who feel some strange need to use religious terminology in their popular writing. This tendency has led many theists to claim that the likes of Einstein and Hawkins share their views; a fact which is simply false, as Dawkins documents in TGD.
