I think there is one set of elected representatives in the United Kingdom who would love to see and help make this arrest happen.

Who is going to put in the call the to Democratic Unionist Party? I suspect they have some friends who could help out on the "reasonable force" part of the arrest too.

Am I the only one not entirely comfortable with opening the anti-Papist can of worms that has plagued British and Irish and much of European history for 400ish year? We start out with high minded secular ideals but I fear we might soon be surrounded fellow travellers with very different motives.

A magnificent short piece. I especially love the last paragraph.

I might even start defining myself as an "Anglican Atheist" again.

This is just wrong on so many level but a case of me being saddened not surprised or even shocked.

It would not even surprise me if this were a popular measure in that area - the tyrany of the majority is still a tyrany though.

This series (and the book that went with it) was probably the greatest single influence on me as a teenager. Interesting, eloquent, understand but informed and stimulating Jacob Bronowski produced a masterpiece.

Watch it if you haven't seen it. Show it to your children.
