Inspiration.

The innocence of your children, this is a well that you can draw deeply on.

Another inspiration? We live in a universe where you can generate shapes like these from a simple formula.

I found "Endless Forms Most Beautiful: The New Science of Evo Devo and the Making of the Animal Kingdom" by Sean B. Carroll very insightful. One of my top 20 books.

Very, very succinct.

A great display of reason and I dare say this guys respectful but firm delivery really made an impact on the caller.

Go to: Discretion please, not rulebooks

When he finally arrived after nearly an hour’s journey, he was greeted with the joyful news that the operation was a complete success: his wife, and her leg, were saved. Why wouldn’t they tell him on the telephone? He could only presume it was because of some ridiculous rule, no doubt drawn up by some pen-pushing lawyer. Once again, no discretion, no human kindness.

Think kind of corporate policy is no doubt implemented by solemn and well intentioned folk.

But like the heavy-handed privacy laws here in Australia, it represents the death of common human to human decency by a thousand, unintended side-effects.

Lovely article.
