Congratulations, guys. Well done. We know it's not easy to turn your lives upside down. At least you, and hopefully your friends and families will be headed down the path to real truth thru science and reasoning. You will be helpful to others who are struggling with the religious fairy tales.

Prof. Dawkins,

Thank you so much for all that you do, especially in this (USA) country. I'm hoping to be in Santa Barbara to see you in person.

I totally agree that ridiculous beliefs should be treated as such. But, I think we need to find a way to say the things we need to say without using the words "ridiculous." or "crazy," or "nut-case." Certainly when you simply make the wafer and wine, or magic underwear references, believe me, there is already a chuckle going around the room before using the adjectives. We can ask these questions as straight, matter-of-fact questions. They'll appear ridiculous enough on their own merit

I understand the frustration. I stumbled upon the 700 Club just now on TV. It's not only ridiculous, but it's seriously nauseating to see ignorant, self righteous, hypocritical, child molesting/killing, power/money hungry...you know the drill. But, it's their APPARENT compassion that keeps things tipped to their side.

I loved Hitchens. He got our attention. Now, let's see what we can do when it's our turn to talk.

Love,

Ron

PS Gonna spoil my Santa Barbara question, just in case I cant ask it:

Is Sean Faircloth gonna run for prez?

I'm (almost) speechless. I guess this is the kind of thing to expect from people who would rather pray for someone's cancer to get better, than go to a hospital.

More proof there's no god.
