They've even got the worlds best scientists looking for 'Him', namely 'the God particle' and aptly given 'Him' a gender; 'Higgs Boson'. Perhaps we should have named it Doreen or Martha. What about Bertha? Naa, maybe not, that sounds too big for something so infinitesimally small!

Maybe we should dispense with using the words 'he' or 'she' in the singular and instead use a collective term like 'they' or 'them', as there seems to be so many of them nowadays, I lost God years ago, only to 'find' him again last week. He'd fallen down the back of the couch and had lain there, presumably living off the crisp and biscuit-crumbs he found (he's very resilient isn't he?) I also have an old potatoe that looks just like Charlton Heston. I've dressed him up in swathling clothes and placed candles around him, which I light as dusk falls (to keep the evil spirits away) then chant religious mumbo-jumbo to him until the nieghbours bang on the wall to make me shut up. He hasn't said, or done anything yet and I'm begining to lose heart, perhaps he needs another vegetable in the form of a baby Jesus to keep him company, I don't know, suggestions appreciated. Am I; Lacking faith, not following the scriptures correctly, using the wrong veg or just deeply unhinged and in need of psychiatric help?

What is needed, is an all-encompassing phrase to hammer home the quality of something done well or crafted with exquisite beauty, I reckion "That's the God's bollocks" would do nicely.

Perhaps that's what God (and all the other Gods) are lacking these days, they need a 'makeover', so that they appear in publications like 'HELLO', so we can see them, cavorting with the mortals on a St. Tropez beach (lunchbox and all) That would prove, once and for all, if we were dealing with a He, She or It God. Perhaps I'm being over-simplistic, but it all does sound a bit silly really,

Yes, the last thing we want to do is 'offend' anyone, we must keep on tip-toeing around the subject "don't mention the war, I did it once, but I think I got away with it!" When we think about all the brutality that goes on in our species (a lot of it 'belief' fuelled) surely we should be able to discuss whether God has a willy or not. Does this mean I'm going to "Burn for eternity in Hell for taking His name in vain?"
