He will probably turn out to be gay himself like most of the other homophobes.

Eww, I just got the mental image of him and Pastor Fred with a tube of lube. Oh great, now Rick Santorum's shown up. Thank you very much, cheesedoff.

What does the creep's wife have to say on the matter? If he's consistent, I'm guessing not much. As we know here in England from our own closet case Stephen Green, these guys often get their day-to-day exercise from using their wives as punching bags.

If any of our Christian brethren and sistren (?) are lurking here after suddenly finding themselves our bedfellows (saucy suggestion intended), come over to the right team. You know you want to. We have cookies!

His homophobia is probably exacerbated by the self-esteem issues he has from his half-inch wang.

Go to: Losing Your Religion: Analytic Thinking Can Undermine Belief

So, in addition to education and intelligence, an analytical mindset also undermines religion.

Kinda suggests that believers have 'gone full retard', in internet parlance.

Im not sure human homosexuals kill chimpanzees although I might be wrong ;o)

To be honest, it seems gay guys get their stereotype for a reason. Most gay guys I've ever met we're rather inordinately gentle. I wonder why that is?

I wish witchcraft, voodoo and sorcery existed. I'd resurrect George Carlin, brew and market penis enlarging potions, and stick pins in Bush/Pope/Santorum/Kin Jong Il/Hovind effigies every time they attempted something dumb.

It seems pretty simple. I was under the impression that most psychologists would agree that repression of many things leads to poorer mental health. Poorer mental health leads to bad decision-making. Suddenly, so much makes sense. You don't have to advocate free love to understand that having an outlet for your urges will prevent you going crazy.

Be careful; that "having an outlet" idea is actually a pretty poor description of how the mind works. Minds aren't pressure valves. They learn by habit and experience, but they can get stuck in a rut as a result. They learn things that cause complications later on when they try to apply the information. Repression leads to long-term dissatisfaction, not to "urge" pressure being built up.

There is a mechanism that causes some attempts to repress pleasurable habits to backfire. It's called the Extinction Burst. While the Wikipedia article gets the point across, there's a more informal treatment of it here:

http://youarenotsosmart.com/2010/07/07/extinction-burst/

I'm not a psychologist so I didn't actually mean it in any sort of authoritative way. I was just saying that repression seems like an intuitively bad thing to do. What's the extinction burst for sex? I shudder at the thought.
