You're probably best leaving if you can! Unhelpful, perhaps, but realistic.

Shouldn't it be Richard Dawkins's God Delusion? The book wasn't written by a whole team of Richard Dawkinses.

Quite right!!

Try changing that to “If Allah exists, I hope he has a good excuse." and then see what happens.Free speech is alive and well, so long as it fits the PC agenda.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Wake me up when you have something new, interesting and valid to say. Until then STFU.

Go to: Melvyn Bragg attacks Richard Dawkins' 'atheist fundamentalism'

ukvillafan's Avatar Jump to comment 88 by ukvillafan

I saw Bragg 'perform' at the Hay Festival lat year. This is similar to what he said there, which is that, effectively, without faith and the Christian faith in particular, we'd never have abolished slavery or 'emancipated women'. It was an odious little performance designed, as many appearances there are, to sell his latest offering about the impact of the KJB in it's 400th year. I couldn't bring myself to ask him how the KJB had emancipated the millions of women who remain 'slaves' in many parts of the world without the remotest chance of equal rights, or any real rights at all, many of whom are the subject of theocratic regimes or cultures, including those that would claim to worship the very same holy book
