The Vatican signed a Concordat with Hitler's Third Reich, and we're surprised by this? Those soulless bastards will take ill-gotten money from anybody. Praise gawd.

Dance/techno isn't really my genre but it's good that the message is being carried in a lot of different ways. I thought the images were powerful.

My favorite anti-religion song is still "Judith" by A Perfect Circle:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PVNfQZFT6g

You're such an inspiration for the ways
That I'll never ever choose to be
Oh so many ways for me to show you
How the savior has abandoned you
Fuck your God
Your Lord and your Christ
He did this
Took all you had and
Left you this way
Still you pray, you never stray
Never taste of the fruit
You never thought to question why

It's not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side
Praise the one who left you
Broken down and paralyzed
He did it all for you
He did it all for you

Oh so many many ways for me to show you
How your dogma has abandoned you
Pray to your Christ, to your god
Never taste of the fruit
Never stray, never break
Never---choke on a lie
Even though he's the one who did this to you
You never thought to question why

Not like you killed someone
It's Not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side
Talk to Jesus Christ
As if he knows the reasons why
He did it all for you
Did it all for you
He did it all for you..

Ha, I'm right here and I missed the whole she-bang. Being a native Cincinnatian I don't doubt the threats, although it is also likely that the building owner had a problem with it. I'm glad to see that Lamar Advertising continues to support us on the basis of being able to pay for their service, this is how it should be.

What's so horrible about telling people they aren't alone? Atheists exist, and we're tired of having to keep our opinions to ourselves, while the religious prattle on in every aspect of our lives. John Welte, who is the president of the Free Iquiry Group of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, along with his wife Fran who is also dedicated and tireless in promoting secular values, makes a good frontman for our cause.
It is exciting to see some movement here, I almost fainted when I first learned that the sign campaign was coming. No doubt the publicity from this minor scuffle will do us more good than harm.

Go to: The Hour - Richard Dawkins

Nice interview, Dawkins seems immensely pleased to be encouraging children to question automatic submission to authority, and rightly so. True respect is earned, not merely granted- you can only demand compliance. It's important for people to grow up understanding this important difference.

The questions at the end were cute, and not too personal. This interview will be seen by a wide audience, many of whom aren't very scientifically literate. For them, it's a lot more important to see Dawkins as a regular person with likes and experiences. For the rest of us, it's simply charming.

Great interview, and I was instantly impressed with the "Aren't you?" question. I am looking forward to spreading the new meme- I'm really going to enjoy proving to people that they ARE atheists by pointing out Thor and Zeus.

Seabala, your work is both fun and powerful- they just keep getting better. I like the one in comment 74 the best so far, thanks for your contributions.
