I was going to write a comment about how even a mountain of evidence wouldn't convince believers in NDEs that it's all a load of nonsense. Then I read the comment by NewtonFan and saw he demonstrated my point for me perfectly!

Great post Jos as usual. I always love reading your comments.

Btw, Ishtar is a troll. I've had a look at his other posts on here, definite troll. This is what he has under his profile; "Interests:
Everything - except I haven't read The God Delusion and I don't intend to."

Oookay then.

That's sick. Did you know there have been at least two stories of autistic children being killed in attempts to exorcise them?

Yes, wasn't there a story not too long ago about a young woman dying during an attempted exorcism?

We also have a curious phenomenon here in South Africa where schoolchildren go into hysterics and have to be hospitalised due to "evil spirits" and "demons".

This reminds me of a few years ago when my parents called in a priest to have me exorcised. They fully believe I'm the devil, because I left the church and became an atheist. I was laughing my arse off at this priest trying to exorcise me. The more I laughed the harder he tried. Ah, those were good times.

Ha! Forty lashes? She's getting off easy ;-) In my country (South Africa) they stone or necklace women for wearing trousers.
