Thanks for the heads-up Naturalist1. I was planning on going to the bookstore anyway, so I'll make sure to pick up a copy.

Stafford, we were just joking around about 43alley's comment.

@ Gwiss - You might be right. Me and the Super Friends partied pretty hard this weekend, so they might be a little worn out and in need of assistance.

Looks like I'm a little late to the discussion.

Go to: Proposition 8 made me quit the Mormon church

I was raised in the Mormon church but I've been an atheist for a year and 2 months now. I was attending BYU at the time, and since I was somewhat close to graduation I decided to keep my unbelief under wraps so that I could finish my degree. Over that year, I've become increasingly fed up with both BYU and the Mormon church. I actually took this semester off, and am currently looking into a few full-time jobs. I was going to wait until procuring employment to take my name off the church's records in case I was unable to find a job so that I could return to finish my education. But, I've become increasingly fed up with the Mormons' bullshit and their Prop 8 campaign has pushed me over the edge. I think I'm going to take my name off the records now, regardless of how my search for employment turns out. I'll get kicked out of BYU and have to finish my education elsewhere, which will lengthen the process, but I can't be associated with this organization anymore. My close friends and parents know that I'm an atheist, but it's time for me to come out completely I think.
