Remember the days when Professor Dawkins, private citizen, could say words about things -- without landing in the newspapers?

Note to self: Do not become a public figure.

Professor Dawkins,

Please don't ever stop writing things (opinion pieces, books, articles, comments, recipes, thoughts on cocktail napkins, etc). Everything you write is always a pleasure to read. And that's not hyperbole.

I see that the professor has been dining on babies with Jonathan Swift. Delicious.

I have a question about Comment #359673 by David A Robertson:

Or perhaps you could criticise the scientists and drug companies who develop Aids drugs for profit and refuse to give them to the poor? But no - instead you rely on a cheap shot ...

Was that irony intentional?

I love it. Clever and to the point.

But what is this campaign as a whole trying to accomplish? Does it have a goal? The first slogan ("There's probably no god ...") perhaps got some people to stop and think; this one, however, might further divide believers from nonbelievers. Offending people isn't a good way to get them to listen to you.

Um. Just skimming the comments while at work. (Slacker, I know.) Has anyone pointed out this is a *private* school? You're not obligated to send your kid there. Let the school be bigoted and backward; perhaps that will drive enrollment down. (Or perhaps I have too much faith in humanity.)
