Comment 5 by PERSON :

I'm glad they're trying out some new ideas. It kind of annoys me when people say "you're not funny!" to comedians.

Well, if they're not funy, it's 'kind of' true. I don't see why that would be annoying.

1) That's for the rest of us to assess

And I don't have the right to decide for myself if I find somethng funny or not? Must I conform to 'the rest of' you (whoever you/they are), or am I permitted to think for myself.?

2) Neither are you

I wasn't trying to be, so that's redundant.

What happened to funny? I'd like a more $deity$-like voice too.

Yet the question of God remains present even for them, even if they cannot believe in the concrete nature of his concern for us.
Where was this supposed concrete 'invisi-god' and his concern for us when children were being raped? Suffer little children, not let little children suffer. If $deity$'s so concerned for us, how come my kidneys (and my brother's, and several friends and aqaintances) are fucked? No, popey, and your cronies, you can stuff your forum. You have nothing to say to atheists; if we thought you did, we wouldn't *be* atheists, we'd be god-bothering loons like you. And why don't you want people like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens taking part? Because you're cowards, and you know they'd make you look like the snivelling deluded (and sickeningly patronising) arse-biscuits you are..

Go to: Ministers apologise for insult to Pope

1) I'd like to think that this is evidence that the 'culprits' aren't the BOFs they usually appear to be, and that this whole thing is satire.

2) As even governments, and the richest strongest organisations can't keep things secret forever, as evinced (once again) by this 'leak', it would be a good idea for the RC church to release all relevant documentation, and to allow civil authorities everywhere to carry out full and open investigations into what looks like the world's largest ever known paedophile ring. Only in this way can they ever hope to put it behind them (if you'll pardon the expression), after all, isn't confession supposed to be good for the soul?

3) 'The Foreign Office has aplogised to the pope.' What a bunch of weak, spineless, sycophantic, lily-livered, arse-licking tosspots.

4) What can I say . . ? Religions; I've shit 'em.

It's good to see someone tell it as it is, rather than the soft-pedalling nonsense in the press and on the TV. The god-botherers seem to be more shocked and shaken by criticism of their church than they are of the heinous crimes committsd by its leading acolytes.
I'd like to see the whole corrupt edifice crumble, and only by us all being as forthright as Richard will we ever even persuade many 'faithful' to even start to examine their organisation.
It's long past time for a few prosecutins, too, andtime the secular authorities pulled their fingers out.

Glad to be godless.
