I think Sean did a really good job here. He is clearly very comfortable with politics in the US.

Us "people of reason" (love it!) can often be hyper-critical (a by-product of having an analytical brain) but it is important to remember that we are trying to persuade people who may not yet have fired up their reason neurons!

Sean does that really well, especially by pointing out injustices.

"We Americans tend to let our emotions take too much control of the tongue sometimes"

That is not true, there are plenty of us ungraceful Brits! I often find Americans very clear and easy to listen to - e.g. Sam Harris. On this site we tend to hear from Brits who are excellent communicators, like Richard, AC and (former Brit) the Hitch.

Come to the UK, you'll be surprised at the amount of ignorant ranting that you can encounter.

This is not a debate with 'sides', it is about establishing facts.

Court is the only place to establish facts.

Go to: Brief Scientific Autobiography

I like autobiographies. I heard someone once quote the following "Attitude not aptitude determines altitude". Now, I know that this just sounds like management BS and attitude is not everything, but biographies are helpful so that people can see what the writer went through to get were they did, what motivated them, what barriers they faced etc. Ideas are often influenced by upbringing and experiences and circumstances.
