If it's okay to say 'Hate the sin, not the sinner' I see no problem with 'Hate the belief, not the believer.'

Are they against discrimination or not? I'm confused.

They want to discriminate, but don't want to be discriminated by others.

Go to: Papal visit: Thousands protest against Pope in London

Thanks Ivan. I have now done exactly that:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Regarding the issues to do with the Pope yesterday, I saw on your news reports an extreme bias against people who don't want to see a person who protected child rapists from the law being given such a welcome.

The pope's apology was repeated throughout the day, while those of reason who know full well an apology is not justice being served had zero coverage of their speeches when the protest reached just outside Downing Street.

I can understand a lot of people support the pope no matter what he did, and would have been interested to see what he was up to, but that would have been better suited to an entertainment or religious slot in the schedule, not a news channel or programme. 'Man shakes woman's hand' is not news. 'Man covers up child rape' is. By ignoring that side of the news, you may even have helped hide his actions from those Catholics with consciences who simply weren't aware he had done this. What better place to bring this to the attention of the population than through a news channel or programme? Shame on you for making it an entertainment show for Catholics without morals.

An even playing field? Of course not, and had a representative of any other minority been set up in such a fashion the entire literary world would have been signing petitions. But I was defending the Catholic church, so normal rules didn't apply.

You mean you don't have an all knowing, all powerful creator of time and space on your side, with you at all times, who will prove he exists and punish all these non Catholics anyway?
