Go to: New York city schools want to ban 'loaded words' from tests

I couldn't agree more. I have been personally offended by the concept of birthdays since I turned 40. I'd also like to lobby the British Medical Association to discourage the use of the word "cholesterol" at least in conversations involving me and my GP.

Are human beings, as the peak of nature, sovereign owners and masters of their lives and their world? That is the stance taken by Richard Dawkins, naturalist, biologist and atheist

Er, no, it isn't. Next question.

Go to: Westboro Baptist Church to attend Reason Rally with special message for atheists

Personally, I think inviting them is a tactical mistake. However large their comedy value (and I admit it's very large indeed) they will make every other g*d-bothering idiot who criticises the rally look sane and reasonable by comparison

I love Telegraph hacks, there's one question I am susprised they have never asked:

Prof. Dawkins, did you ever stop beating your wife?

Go to: Britain being overtaken by 'militant secularists', says Baroness Warsi

emastro's Avatar Jump to comment 81 by emastro

Threat level for dummies:

Militant Christian: kills abortion doctors

Militant Islamist: blows up buses and Tube trains

Militant secularist: is rather snappy on TV and occasionally a killjoy

Tell you what: as soon as 14.000 "militant secularists" start calling for the execution of someone who tweeted that Richard Dawkins or AC Grayling isn't a very nice person, I'll admit Lady Warsi has a point. Until then, she's do herself a big favour by shutting the imaginary hell up.
