As I recall the original 'Planet Of The Apes' novel by Pierre Bouille used this concept too.

Unfortunately this is one instance where science fiction and actual science probably can't meet. When I think of an interstellar solar sail trying to get through the Oort Cloud in one piece I start thinking that the idea might be unfeasible.

I was lucky enough to attend Prof Dawkins' "Meet The Author" talk at Adelaide Writer's Week yesterday, and if it hasn't been said yet (and even if it has, mind you) may I please say thank you very much for coming to Adelaide. I know that our unofficial nickname is "The City Of Churches" but we're working on it.

Go to: Are Evolution-Deniers any Different from Holocaust-Deniers, Birthers, or Truthers?

With tounge firmly in cheek, i'd like to point out that evolution-deniers and holocaust deniers are exact opposites, because the evolution-deniers always trot out Hitler's 'social Darwinism' policies in their arguments.

I should imagine it would be hard to deny the Holocaust while you're using it as an illogical, emotive attack on Evolution.

"Eloquent and accessible".

This makes a nice, welcome and accurate change from "Strident and shrill".
