Comment 51 by Quine Glad to hear that other people were crying during Theresa's presentation, too. Makes me feel a bit less of a wimp.

No, not a wimp. Friend her on Facebook. The more friends the better.

She has great courage in coming out and speaking out. Why are theists not listening to the people that know?

I posted the video on Youtube as well and it has both Michael Aus and Teresa Macbain. The video posted in this article has some missing at the start of her talk where she is introduced and she says her name and "I am an atheist!". Teresa starts at 17:20. It still brings a tear to my eyes every time I watch it.

I don't care about the number of views I get on Youtube - means absolutely nothing to me - just wanted to share the experience of being there with as many atheists as well as fence sitters..

Go to: Hitchens defeats Blair in Toronto

Comment 79 by Canasian :

I made sure my vote was counted but witnessed several people in my section who couldn't find an usher to hand their ballots to and just left the building without voting a second time.

It was refreshing though, to see our Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism in attendance. I also heard someone say they saw a Nobel laureate in the audience but I didn't catch who it was.

Looking at the video I took from the Choir Loft section I think I recognized the ex Prime Minister John Turner and his wife were in the audience too with DAMN GOOD seats. I am sure he didn't compete to get those!

I missed the voting at the beginning but made sure my vote got counted at the end but I saw some ballots on the tables and floor that obviously didn't get counted. Not a problem because we all know what the real answer is to the debate question. Tony was on the loosing side from the beginning.

I was there too in the front row of the choir section right behind Hitchens. I got lots of great video of his back of his head. I didn't see him turn around to speak toward the poor atheist crowd in the section of the hall that got tickets after screaming for more tickets to be made available (Choir Loft section). Those tickets were also scalped! All the good seats looked like the elite people in Canada and mostly British origin got them. Sure was not fair of them having sold out before they were offered to the public for sale. Audio was difficult to make out in the choir section too so I am watching the Youtube stuff to hear what we missed.

Sure would have liked to have a book signing. That was my only disappointment of the evening.
