Go to: Elton under fire for 'Jesus is gay' remark

I'd like to know if dear Elton has actually read the New Testament. Just can't find the loving forgiving guy he is talking about. I can however find a mad, love me or burn, rambling, racist, misogynistic tw*t.

Go to: Atheists are wrong to claim science and religion are incompatible, Church of England says

HungryDuff's Avatar Jump to comment 22 by HungryDuff

Here we go again, the Church wanting their cake and eating it. As many people have said this is a logical fallacy. You either believe that we came from Adam and Eve, which is totally incompatible with Darwinian Evolution, or you believe in Evolution which is totally incompatible with the Bible; they can’t have it both ways. Now, if the Church is saying that they accept evolution, they are admitting that Adam and Eve and original sin are all bollocks. If you take away Adam and Eve, no original sin, which begs the question, why the feck did God send himself/Jesus to atone for a sin which was never committed in the first place. I say again to any CofE people reading this; you can’t have it both ways.

What the feck is a militant Atheist? I’m sure these people have a word factory coming up with ridiculous titles to give to people who don’t believe in bull sh*t.

Dhamma

How convenient of the Catholic Church not to recognise the horrendous passages in both the Old and New Testaments. Seems to me they are cheery picking (as they all do) what is acceptable to the modern mind and society. I can’t imagine a Bronze Age zealot, making the distinction between somebody who is gay and not having sex with another man, to one who is.

It was acceptable doctrine for the Catholic Church to burn women and men at the stake for being witches all the way up to the 18th century, “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live” Exodus 22:18.

The Catholic Church (as are all religions) is just changing the goal posts and cherry picking what fits in today’s modern society, when science has proved it to be wrong, i.e. the fact of Evolution vs Genesis. Their book clearly states that we came from Adam and Eve. It’s either the inherent word of God or it isn’t. If they say that Adam is just a metaphor (which I believe they do) and didn’t really exist, what the f*ck is original sin? Why did god send himself/Jesus on a suicide mission to be crucified for something that never took place in the first place.

I have no first hand accounts of homosexual relationships, but as any normal loving relationship has a healthy sex life, I imagine that most if not all homosexuals have or have had sex with the same sex at some point; ergo homosexuality.

Has anybody got a hair I can split?

His religion also says that homosexuals should be put to death, will he be enforcing that belief as well? Or will he be leaving that little one out.

The British government want to grow a set of balls and not let this poisonous little man anywhere near the UK. If it was an Iman spouting such shit or dutch MP they'd by banned. Seems like double standards to me.
