Go to: Civilian Pastor Attacks Atheist Soldier - Reverend Bryan Griem Claims Atheist Solders Are "Big Fat Chickens"

Emailed this morning to montrosecommunity@sbcglobal.net.

Dear Mr.Griem,

Your inflammatory statements regarding atheist soldiers as "big fat chickens" struck a nerve.

I dare you to swap your Reverend's robes for a kit more appropriately suited to the military man, and to make the same ultimate sacrifice thousands of atheist soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, and civilians have made for their country, knowing full well that there was no blissful, or any other, afterlife awaiting them.

This is a fairly safe dare for everyone. Should you take up the challenge, and actually wind up in front of a fortuitous enemy bullet, or happily jump onto that actual live grenade you mention to save your brothers-in-arms, you get to do it knowing full well that life will be much better, in only a few moments. Of course, no one actually expects you, hiding behind the robes of clergy to do such a thing, what with the life you currently have being such a sweet thing, and all.

If you want to follow your line of "reasoning" to its conclusion, a man or woman who gives their life, knowing there isn't one to follow, that this is really "it," must be much braver than the one who feels like there's a heavenly eternity to follow stepping in front of that bullet or jumping on that grenade. I don't point this out to denigrate or belittle any sacrifice by anyone, only to demonstrate the fundamental flaw in your argument.

I hope this clears things up for you a bit.

Absolutely Brilliant!

This would make an amazing skit, maybe in a holiday pageant.

Thank you. And Merry Christmas!

I enjoy playing that song at parties (with guitar accompaniment).

The clearly enunciated staccato vocal piece really seems to keep folks' attention long enough to get the points across...amazing how many fence sitters there are to sing to out there!

What a waste of talent. If this fellow has just a direct line, why then not pray for a complete elimination to all road deaths, everywhere?
