The God Delusion (Bantam) should be read by everyone from atheist to monk -JB

He is praising the book, for crying out loud! When he uses the word "enrage", he's not necessarily claiming inaccuracy - just persuasive force in the face of sometimes persistent habits of thought. Please remember, the majority are still believers and see that belief as coming from a justifiable source. We'll never communicate anything to them if we don't take that into account.

Go to: Census called into question as new Ipsos MORI poll estimates 17 million Humanist Brits

It's good to see the Census' obvious failing re religious affiliation exposed. My impression is that people will generally see that question as a cultural identifier rather than an affirmation of subscription to one's "offical" religion's teachings. Let's hope that politicians will soon have the courage to acknowledge the elephant in the room.

Go to: Praise the Lord - a bestseller!

This is just a sprinkling of colour in a op-ed piece. I'm certain it's intended to be humourous - not a considered review of the work.
Remember, not everyone is seeing the world right now (as many here are) through the prism of the faith/disbelief argument. Lighten up!

I have just surfaced for air after immersing myself in these videos for far too long! I found them nothing short of fascinating. It's a rare treat to see such distinguished minds in dialogue with each other, albeit with startling (and exhilerating) frankness and utter disregard for deference borne of politeness.
I, for one, have learned a lot from this and have been given several new avenues of investigation to explore.
Thanks to all.
