Go to: Pope Benedicts's Media team. Is it up to the challenge?

Imagine if they had a Frank Luntz (of "death tax" fame) type wordsmith working for them, rather than the group of buffoons currently running their PR department. Then they might actually do some real damage. Instead they (mostly) use the words they actually mean to use, with no PR guy saying "Ah, but you don't want to say that, you know, out loud, your holiness".

And in 2010 that is what is hurting them, at least when they are dealing with people of a more non-herdish persuasion than your genuine true believer. Fortunately.

Oh yeah. We godless, immoral Scandinavians are the happiest people on the planet. Who'd have thunk it? (Hint: Me).

KRKBAB,

Hmm, you are right, of course. Sorry if my comment came off as pedantic.

Another step could be posting a comment on SCA's own website, which I might do as soon as this damn headache clears.

But of course saying it here has a poor chance of filtering back to the SCA guys, so I concede your particular point.

Logicel, KRKBAB,

Please.

Let's try and paraphrase:

A: "The comment system on RD.net is broken and I keep double posting. Could you do something? Thank you."

B: "This comment system is good enough. What is important is that the RDFRS is involved in important issues. You want them to get better, than donate. Or volunteer."

See how that doesn't work?

I donate to certain causes, like disaster relief. I also do volunteer work every year for handicapped people. But, as with everyone else, my funds (and my time) are limited.

Does this mean I can only criticize The Haitian and Pakistani relief efforts and the Danish Foundation for Muscular Dystrophy and no one else? Do I have to buy the privilege of speaking out when I see something that might be a problem in an effort made by an organization/club/whatever that I otherwise like?

Nope. It doesn't. Thank you.

Dammit, I appreciate what the secular coalition is doing, but couldn't they spend a few more bucks on their videos? Especially the sound is atrocious. Blue-screen the damn thing, place a nice logo or something behind the speaker and for dogs sake: make him wear a mike.

This looks like an amateur home video taped in front of someones curtains.

Some of the fundie videos I have watched are of a much higher quality (production-wise, I mean - their messages were of course still pure bullshit). That is just wrong.
