Watched this yesterday by sheer coincidence, and what a wonderfully thoughtful, dispassionate and yet humanly empathetic explanation of the 'ghosts' that fire up simply because they must. Large teeth and geometric shapes - how strange we all are! Charles Bonnet Syndrome is new to me…

As ever, Prof. Dawkins is calmly and superbly rational and informative (and touchingly un-strident).

How amusing to see the fear in the face of the interviewer to be tainted as both intelligent and an atheist. Argh - which one is worse!!

If only the intelligent and unsuperstitous would inherit (and populate) the earth...

Will be watching and waiting to buy the DVD through this site!! If only I can stop cringing (twitching shoulders and all) through the kumbaya moments of family life around the groaning harvest table ('amen').

I wish I could stop being amazed (never mind particularly miffed and saddened) by the resilience of the crazy-utterly-unsubstantiated-human-construct-literary-fudged-cobbled-together-Bronze-aged-model-of-a-system-supposedly-based-on-supernatural-"moral"-goodness-veil-of-ignorance premise.

That it itself might its quietus make with a bare bodkin...

Here's to the "persecutor of benighted creationists"!!! If anyone needs to 'lighten-up' it's Mr. Ree it seems, or does he feel that only such witty and perceptive newspaper commentators have access to gentle putdowns and seemingly “patronising” commentary?

[further rant: BBC Radio 4's Martha Carney (7-9-09) equally annoying parting comment about 'people of faith may disagree about that' after a last-minute-crammed-in, yet very interesting piece about the early social function of religion being all but a mechanism for controlling larger tribal units. Commentators please keep your thoughts to yourselves in such circumstances]
