I loved Peter's straightforward approach. It's encouraging to hear that somebody is actively challenging faithbased claims in a US university.

I definitely want to hear more from Peter Boghossian.

I found the lecture Jesus-the-Easter-Bunny-and-Other-Delusions-Just-Say-No, though I haven't watched it yet.

Go to: Tennessee Passes ‘Monkey Bill’ To Teach The ‘Controversy’ On Evolution And Climate Science

The teaching of some scientific subjects, including, but not limited to, biological evolution, the chemical origins of life, global warming, and human cloning, can cause controversy . . . The state board of education, public elementary and secondary school governing authorities, directors of schools, school system administrators, and public elementary and secondary school principals and administrators shall endeavor to assist teachers to find effective ways to present the science curriculum as it addresses scientific controversies.

Technically there's nothing wrong here. These subjects can cause controversy, on the other hand there is no scientific controversy to address!

Where did Andrew Brown get the idea that the Muhammad-cartoons were anti-Muhammad?

The comments on the original site has so far been very sensible and encouraging.

Michael - and what happens the day some unstable athiest takes action in the name of stopping mental child abuse?

The difference is you don't have to be unstable to fly an airplane in to a building, you just have to really believe, then it's a perfectly sensible and rational act.

I don't get it. Why should a cross not be allowed in a museum? Many museums would be half empty, if you removed all religious references from them. I think it would be appropriate to put up a sign next to the "cross" with the text This piece of wreckage was seen be some christians as a sign from their god who didn't bother to prevent the attack.
