For those of you watching the debate, the missing episode five (nine & ten) can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/BrockportStudentGovt#p/a/u/0/djbfR3czxvw

Has anyone found part eight yet, please post url if you have?

I do prefer listening to Rabbi Wolpe over Rabbi Boteach in these debates with Hitchens et al.

The rest of you can get back to your non sequitur thread now

Yes, we Europeans all love the isolationist Swiss, my recent favourite expression of theirs was the poster by Christoph Blocher SVP party showing the white sheep kicking the black sheep back across the border in their "sicherheit schaffen" campaign.

A dish best served cold will be eaten by the Swiss when they inevitably join the EU and the human race with the prerequisite adoption of modernity.

This broadcast has introduced me to Dan Barker and his Freedom From Religion site.

I have now listened to Dan Barker talk on www.ffrf.org/about/bybarker/ethics_debate.php
and thoroughly recommend this thoughtful and balanced debate to you all.

I hope that the UK will hold its nerve about any move to corrupt scientific education. I hold with the idea of non overlapping magistera that RD once referenced.

I would be appalled if my child had to listen to religious guesswork in a science lesson.

On reflection, TGSOA is a timely book and I hope RD will drill into this survey and perhaps sponsor a new one in the UK.

Go to: A Bitter Rift Divides Atheists

This sounds like an American thing to me, I have not heard of it.

Organising atheists surely is the herding cats issue, I don't march to anyone's tune or recognise anyone's authority to instruct me in the extent of my disbelief.

Equally I don't recognise anyone's authority to tell me how to celebrate my rationality and how to treat deists and theists.

This is a non-story, invented and I have no interest, schism indeed!
