Go to: Richard Dawkins calls for arrest of Pope Benedict XVI

I'll tell you what. I'd wager than anyone trying to make a case that Ratzinger should be arrested is going to end up sounding as delusional as a 9/11 conspiracy theorist, and creationist, who is disconnected from the actual facts.

Let's hear a dimwitted atheist make a case, and provide the actual evidence in support of why Ratzinger should be arrested.

Dawkins and company are suffering from a collective delusion, of fictive blame. The fact he takes this position seriously reveals he's a fucking loon.

If anyone wants to defend Dawkins by making the case for him, please bring it on.

This should be fun.

Any takers?

Which ones?
How many here have you spoken to?
How many do you know?

The thing is, when you're a minority group, and when the only visibility atheist get is through men like Dawkins, the group gets generalized as sharing his beliefs, attitude, and bizarre behavior.

It doesn't matter if Dawkins is an accurate representative of most atheist, his brand will continue to be associated with most of them.

Kind of like how the Catholic priest are portrayed as pedophiles, even though the rates of pedophile priests are comparative to any other profession that works with kids.

If the Catholic Priest get generalized in that sort of way, atheist get generalized no differently.

And you wonder why Atheist are the least liked group in the the US. It's not so much the Christians demonizing them, as rather the pathetic displays of the popular ones.

Richard, Defenders of all religious groups will read your Letter to the Times and still feel threatened. "

OH Jebus how pathetic, Dawkins and a bunch of other idiots believe that people are actually going to take them seriously with this stunt, rather than seeing exactly for what it is, a pathetic publicity stunt on Dawkins part.

It just makes atheist look like a bunch of loons.

It's funny and yet sad at the same time.

avatarRichard, do you need help when you arrest him? I'd love to be in the posse. Don't have handcuffs, but do have plastic zip ties. I could help make the torches...

Is this all sort of like a dweebs version of the French Revolution? Why not just cut his head off and walk around with it on a stick?

This kind of utter drivel is really making me lose faith in Sam.....

Fortunately, nobody seems to be taking him seriously.

Except of course Richard Dawkins:

"I was one of those who had unthinkingly bought into the hectoring myth that science can say nothing about morals. To my surprise, The Moral Landscape has changed all that for me. It should change it for philosophers too. Philosophers of mind have already discovered that they can’t duck the study of neuroscience, and the best of them have raised their game as a result. Sam Harris shows that the same should be true of moral philosophers, and it will turn their world exhilaratingly upside down. As for religion, and the preposterous idea that we need God to be good, nobody wields a sharper bayonet than Sam Harris."

haha

I don't know what's worse, Harris's TED talk, or Dawkins impassioned endorsement of it.

I'll let you decide.

Dawkins: "don't dare ever see your life as boring, monotonous or joyless."

And what if our lives are truly like that, should we resort of holding on to a delusion for the sake of seeing life as non-boring, non-monotonous, and joyful?

I wish rich white dudes kept their peddling of cheap hopes to themselves.
