I hate having to scroll so much. Why is the text box at the top? It should be after the last comment.

And this is the third thread that has invited people to post issues about the new discussion area, and this is my third post in a new thread.

If this is going to be the third time I'm ignored then I won't be back.

Now I know nothing about setting up websites or forums or discussion areas, but I think I have a good degree of common sense.

Please tell me that whenever a company or organisation set up a site like this they don't have to go through this shambolic rigmarole of ironing out problems - and not just details, but fundamental errors and difficulties?

Who the hell tested this method of discussion area? Why haven't problems been identified and solved prior to opening the discussion area? Why the hell has it taken so long to do so little?

Useless. I'd be ashamed.

I'd like some sort of response please. I fell like my post has been lost in a vaccuum of nothingness....

Oh well...

I'd like to know why there is a comment of mine entitled "an apology" on a permalink to my comments here, on this new "forum" when I did not make the comment here or intend for it to be viewed here. I just signed in for the first time and was confronted by the post which was made on the first of March, after the old forum was closed. What's going on here? It's shambolic!

I accept your apology and thank you for taking your time to get to the bottom of the matter.

Of course any forum or discussion area on your website is yours to do with as you see fit and I wouldn't expect anybody to be dictating to you the direction you wish to take with these matters.

However, I would like to express my opinion regarding why I personally valued the RDF forum in its original format:

The forum was an easy access into the thoughts and opinions of thousands of fascinating people with links to groundbreaking scientific research in all number of fields. To be involved in discussions and debates with these people was very exciting for me and I learned an awful lot. But what made it extra special was the opportunity to then chat to such intellectuals as friends - akin to having a drink in their local, discussing families, food, holidays and other personal "triva". This is what gave RDF a true sense of community and what made it feel like home for many thousands of open minded, free thinking individuals who perhaps did not have any other social outlet regarding their atheistic views.

I'm sorry, Richard. Although I am grateful for your apology and I do accept it, I still think that censoring the thread topics on your new discussion area will not allow a true community spirit to develop, and for this reason I will be unlikely to participate.
